Thank you to all that left their vote in the comments and via email. I have to say that my first thought and the color I was leaning towards was the Charlotte Slate. I had forgotten to mention that the dining room is the darkest room in the house the lighting just is not that great in there. It is also the first room you see when you walk through the front door. With all that said, I was concerned that Charlotte Slate might be too dark. So I ventured off to the paint store and came home with a sample of Sea Star… to green. Back to the paint store, came home with a sample of
(mistakes I made: tinted the primer gray… it made all the colors look different on the wall nothing like the swatch. I also forgot to tell the paint rep that I wanted a flat finish... oh well.)
The color is pretty close to Claydon Blue by Farrow & Ball
