Well, I’ve started a five day break from my pill cycle (20 days on - 5 days off) this past Saturday - it’s like a little vacation. This five day break I was scheduled to do a Juice Fast (detox) for two of the five days. It involves drinking carrot, celery and apple juice (from my juicer) six times a day... and nothing else to eat during that time. I am on my second day of the fast... must say that I greatly underestimated the power of the Juice Fast. Going into this I thought no problem, probably won’t have any side effects, etc.. Guess my body had more toxins (and cancer) to dump than I thought, because I have really been in detox mode. I have experienced headaches and chills for the last 28 hours. I am talking the kind where I have a sweatshirt and jeans on inside a house that the thermostat is set on 80. This afternoon I even crawled under the down-comforter for an afternoon nap and it was 98 degrees outside. So needless to say it is working and not the cake walk that I expected.
Also, thought I would share something interesting that happened last night... Julia crawled in my bed about 3:00AM and proceeded to talk for another hour and a half. Do you know what she wanted to discuss.... Jesus! She starts off “Mommy, does God have a Son?” And I said -yes, remember Jesus is His Son. Then “What was his mommy’s name?” - Mary... “Where does Jesus and God live?” - Heaven... “Why did the bad men put Jesus on the cross?” This conversation went on for over an hour. I was amazed at what her little mind was thinking and obviously how Jesus had touched her life. This morning the first thing she said when she woke up was “Mommy, I want to see that picture in the bible (children’s bible) of Jesus as a baby and on the cross” . She was so interested in learning more that we spent part of the afternoon picking out more books at the Christian bookstore. She was still talking about it tonight at bedtime. It made me realize how much more I should be nourishing their little souls.

Quick update - I had a chest x-ray on June 30th... it came up clear! Praise the Good Lord! The larger spot on my right lung did not show up, which was a huge relief. We go back to Mayo the first week in August for a CT Scan and MRI, which will tell us a little more. But I know that Dr. Gonzalez program is working, I can feel it... literally.
I will be taking the month of July off - no computer, no email, no cell phone... nothing. Just family time. I will, however, have a few post that I am going to do now that will publish later on in the month. Wishing you all safe, healthy and happy summer.

We eat fresh fish, grassfed beef, cage free chicken. A lot of organic fresh fruits & vegetables. We cook with mostly organic olive oil, coconut oil, garlic, butter, sea salt and fresh herbs... most of what we eat comes from Whole Foods, but Publix does carry some of the items listed above.
One of the best things I've ever eaten... sooooo good! (all cancer fighting ingredients)
Place the tomatoes, yellow pepper, black beans, red onion, jalapeno peppers, and lime zest in a large bowl. Whisk together the lime juice, olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic, and cayenne pepper and pour over the vegetables. Toss well. Just before you're ready to serve the salad, fold the avocados into the salad. Check the seasoning and serve at room temperature. makes 6 servings (I served it with chips)

Yesterday was the fifth day of my liver flush, the grand finale if you will. The first four days of the liver flush are fairly easy, but the last day really puts your system into motion, or should I say into detox. I started after lunch with a cup of epsom salt and water; followed by another two hours later; then for dinner I had a mixed berry and heavy cream smoothie (yum - pretty sure I consumed about 60 grams of fat); a 1/4 of a cup of bentonite liquid 30 minutes before bed; and 1/2 cup of olive oil at bedtime - then straight to bed on my right side, knees drawn up.
Doesn't sound all that bad on paper, but not so fun in person. I won't give you the gory details (you would all stop reading my blog if I did) but lets just say that I had to stay close to home all afternoon, you can imagine what is going on with the digestive tract. I can honestly tell you I had to gag down the epsom salt water, bentonite liquid and especially the olive oil (which almost came back up). Little did I know the best was yet to come.
About 3:00AM I woke up with a fever, chills all over and extreme nausea. Luckily, I knew from speaking with Dr. Gonzalez and many of his patients that this was the process of my body detoxing, the cleansing of my liver. After about 30 minutes I couldn't hold it together and started vomiting. A short time later most the symptoms subsided, with the exception of the nausea - that lasted until this morning.
Not sure if you could consider it a success since much of what I drank came back up, but hopefully I will do better next time. Still doing my two a day enemas (good times - these also make me feel very sick and are not fun) ...from now on I will just refer to it as the " Big E". But all in all, things are going well. I will probably be a home-body for a while until I get the hang of this. (Please note - that as I share all these experiences, I know that others with cancer that are having to endure chemo and radiation and have symptoms far worse - I cannot begin to imagine what they are going through).
But I thank you again for your support and prayers during this transition. I am grateful to all those that have forwarded doctors name, drug trials, etc... I'm keeping them all in notebook. With all that said, I would like to ask everyone to respect my decision to go with Dr. Gonzalez and choose an alternative treatment. I do not wish to receive any negative opinions or advise on what you or anyone else thinks I should be doing. It only causes me more stress and fear - two things I don't need right now. I know that the advise is given out of concern, but again if you would please refrain from sharing it with me at this time I would appreciate it. I have complete confidence in Dr. Gonzalez and his program - spoken with several patients that are survivors, and know in my heart that this is the right decision for me and that I will win this battle.
Also, one more thing... I would like to ask you all to pray for another young mother with two girls that is battling cancer. She and I have connected through facebook and I have drawn great strength from her journey. Her name is Jamie Cagle, please take a moment to add her to your prayer list and lift her up this morning. Thank you.
Peace & Love to you all on this Tuesday morning!
(Hoping to post some updated pictures soon, plus I have a great recipe for you - with tons of cancer fighting ingredients)

This is my new daily schedule - My new normal. The protocol: 20 days on the enzymes and supplements, then 5 days off… for the rest of my life. During those five days, I will alternate between the liver flush, clean sweep and a carrot juice fast, doing one of the three each month. I started the protocol with the liver flush and have now finished day two. I begin my pills on Tuesday. I have been doing the enemas as well… don’t worry I won’t go into detail. We are also having a reverse-osmosis water system installed on Monday, and changed our pots & pans to stainless steel. As well as, trying to eliminate all aluminum from the house (or at least as much as we can). My diet is 50% raw and 50% cooked. Several servings of certain organic fruits & vegetables each day, plus 5 servings of grass feed red meat, 2 servings of chicken and 2 servings of fish each week. Absolutely no soy, peanuts, sugar, white flour, cow’s milk… along with many other foods to steer clear of. This is a glimpse into my new life... one that I am ever so grateful for.
I must also mention what an incredible mother I have. She is completely selfless and 100% devoted to her children. She has been my full time nurse and my rock during this entire ordeal. If you only knew the things she has had to do for me you would join me in calling her a saint.
Mom, if you read this – I love you to the ends of the earth.
(Please note that while all cancer patients can do the coffee enemas, skin brushing, and juicing… it is not advised that you follow my diet or consume things like the apple cider vinegar, red meat, etc… This was formulated specifically for my type of cancer and based on my test results. This type of diet/schedule could cause other types of cancers to grow. Dr. Gonzalez has an interview posted on his website that you can listen to that gives advice to cancer patients on things we can all do to stay healthy and detox our bodies. Go to www.dr-gonzalez.com for more information)
John 15:4-5 Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

Joshua 1:9
Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
I am overcome with JOY & HOPE…. our trip to
Dr. Gonzalez is a kind, humble and brilliant man. He does God’s work because it is his life’s calling. He is a man of strong faith, and brings hope and health to his patients… all in the name of the Father.
After our first appointment, Shannon and I went into this gorgeous old church about a block from his office to give thanks for this wonderful news. As I was praying, I looked up and there was this huge inscription that read “LORD IT IS GOOD FOR US TO BE HERE”. Shannon and I both began to cry… My savior has been by my side every step of the way, guiding and leading me down the right path. I knew at that moment everything was going to be okay and we were exactly where he wanted us to be.
It is with a thankful heart, I send all of you my deepest gratitude for the prayers you have lifted up for my family and my healing. I cannot begin to put into words how much your prayers and kind wishes have meant to us. “Rich is the person who has a praying friend” ~Janice Hughes
A huge thanks to Darby for posting my story on her blog, I have received so many wonderful messages from “new” friends that are praying for us; To Mary for starting the Prayers for Montye Facebook Page; To my dear friends that have prayed over me the past couple of weeks (You all know who you are :o); To my loving family for holding me together and lifting me up above the devastation; To my Heavenly Father for the abundant blessings he has bestowed upon me, and for the Love and Peace that has washed over me.
Psalm 25:4-5
Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.
