A little R & R does a body good.
We had a wonderful weekend at the beach with some new friends. They had rented a house in
The weather was perfect, sun shining and not a cloud in the sky. I had to keep my scars covered for most of the day and put a 70 sun block on them when we were in the pool. Think I’m going to need one of these for the summer.
Speaking of my scars…I have been asked several times “have they healed well… do I have pain…have I noticed a difference in my daily activities, etc…” The answer is yes, however….the one on my back looks great and the pain I experience really is very minimal compared to the pain I experienced prior to the surgeries. Actually, it’s more that things are uncomfortable rather than painful. I can tell you that every time I move, I am acutely aware of the changes in my back. Not sure how else to describe it, things are just different. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining…I know that I am in much better shape than many others out there that have been diagnosed with cancer and/or had a major surgery.
